US Open - Mothers

For the first time in Grand Slam history, 3 out of the 8 US Open finalists are mothers (Williams, Azarenka, and Pironkova). However, it is important to keep in mind what Azarenka said: they reached the quarterfinals not by being a parent; they got there by being tennis players who worked hard to be competitive again.
